i coincidentally have been listening to a lot of their tracks lately, and started noticing that i identified with a lot of them.
"every day is exactly the same".
I identified with Head like a Hole.. I will always remember it for many reasons.
When I bought it, that was what I was feeling about jw-stuff/religion.

That was my mantra then. I have calmed down some. :-)

Damn...I'm exsplosivly dyslexic. It makes for some dumb rendations of words that I have only read, never spoken. Words seem more of a pattern of figures.
Like a book or movie might be described as a whodoneit. My mind reads woodnut. Cant help but laugh along as I get a correction on a word.
Yep, I've watched quiet a few good woodnuts on TCM. Love old movies.

It sometimes explaines why my family is feeling a certain way or if they have a different attitude that week.
Also, reading her comments helped me see the heavy use of the Old Testament and how very little attention is payed to Jesus.

has anyone, other than me, tried to get your friends/loved ones to prove 1919?.
did they really try to prove it to you or did they write you off as hopelessly lost or somewhere in between?
as some of you are aware, i have been trying to get my wife to prove it to me, and if not her, another believing jehovahs witness.
I tried asking , then explaining, my views on 1914/607 with my father . His responce was, "You have to look at the Big Picture."
I asked what he meant be that, he wouldn't answer and wanted to just drop the subject. He wasn't annoyed with the question, or didn't make me feel bad for asking or use the A. word.
My impression still is, that he was already aware, and this is what he tells himself.
This was about ten years ago, I often wonder what he has thought about all the different generation changes since that conversation.

I remember meeting you at the southern californian fest. I doubt you remember the shy, nerdy woman, that didnt get to many words out.. LOL .. But, I thought you were a shy or maybe quite sort. What year was that ? it seems like a life time ago. I do remember the Karaoke and the one man that sang so well. I forget the song. A mowtown one I think.
Didnt you tour the US, starting out on the east coast and ending up in L.A. ? What an adventure.

Alot of time wasted , that's for sure.
I remember when I was moving , at that time they gave you your cards to bring to your next hall. I looked at them sadly. Noticing my Baptism date , all the hours I put in pre 1975, when I should have been attending middle school. All the hours I put in while having a small flock of kids and how hard that was, but it was never good enough according to the service elder.
It's so nice to be off that treadmill..YAH...But for some silly reason my mind still thinks as a kid, and Tuesday and Thursdays are still the bad days of the week. Even after over a decade of not attending meetings.
[on a super cool side note. I tore up those cards that night. I dont exist on paper in the Wathctower World]
